The Ethics of the Visual Representation of Pitbulls

In this project, I will explore the visual representation of certain dog breeds and physical features that have been categorized as "pit bull" through contrasting how the news negatively depict pit bulls to how shelter and rescue organizations positively represent these dogs. Specifically, I will focus on the role of stereotypes and labeling on how these dogs are perceived.
